Midnight love – K.B

Midnight love

Girl,
If I had some
Money
I’d keep you nearby
In a big house
Far from the madding
Crowd.

We’d have lunches
On the lawn
And your sweet
Crazy hysterical voice
Will rock me to sleep
Coz
My love is blind.

We’d look at sunsets
In light underwear
Before joining
A huge bed
To heal
From the wounds
Of the day.

I’d bring you flowers
Every morning,
Freshly cut
From the garden.

We’d languidly
Lay all morning
Listening to birds
Because when you’re
In the world
It’s a wonderful thing.

As I’m younger,
I’m more rough,
Less inclined
To sophisticated
Softness
But the roundness
Of your hips
Is all I need
To hang on
To life,

Your cherry
Lips too
That you bite
When I go away.

I don’t know why we’re
Physically far apart,
But every night
I join you in thought
After days spent in
Much despair.

Somehow,
I got used to
Not see you
That often
Any more.

But deep inside,
Unresolved love
Keeps nagging
And blossoms
When I have
A moment for
Myself.

I haven’t
Become
Cynical
About it

But I understand
The bare necessities
Of life.

Know that the
Season I spent
With you
Was the best of my
Life

And I still have
A hard time
To believe
In it..

That is my
Sweet torment.
